201 stainless steel has certain acid and alkali resistance, high density, polishing without bubbles and pinholes, etc. It is a high-quality material for producing various watch cases, watch strap bottom covers, etc. It is mainly used to make decorative pipes, industrial pipes, and some shallow drawn products.

This product belongs to high manganese and low nickel stainless steel, with low nickel content and poor corrosion resistance. 201 is an austenitic, chromium-nickel-manganese stainless steel that was originally developed to preserve nickel. It provides properties similar to most 301 type applications and can be used in them. The alloy is non-magnetic in the annealed state, but becomes magnetic when cold worked. The work hardening rate is similar to that of 301, although 201 has a higher yield strength when cold worked while maintaining the same ductility. The toughness at low temperatures is excellent. Typical uses include household appliances, restaurant equipment, cookers, sinks, automotive trims, architectural applications such as doors and windows, railway vehicles, trailers and hose clamps.
